THE GONDOLIERS SYNOPSIS
Two humble, handsome gondoliers choose their brides from 24 ladies in Venice. But within minutes after their wedding, the Grand Inquisitor of Spain reveals that one of them is actually the King of Barataria, Spain. But which is the King, and which the Gondolier? The two gondoliers are whisked off, without their new brides, to Barataria to reign jointly (taking their Republican Principles with them) until the true king is revealed. The King (whichever it is) was married as an infant to the impoverished daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Plaza-toro, Spain. The daughter, however, secretly loves another. How will this entangled situation be solved? With clever G & S humor, one of Sullivan's finest orchestrations, lively dancing, and good old-fashioned fun!

All onstage roles at the Starlight Children's Theatre Company of Las Cruces are
played by children.

We perform the favorites of musical theatre: Gilbert and Sullivan classics and Broadway hits that have been adapted for children.

Families are essential to our productions. We encourage parents to build memories with their children as they work together to achieve great things.




Young people who have finished second grade through eighth grade are welcome to join us. Space is limited. Be sure to register early!
